    Aug. 19, 2013

Capacity Trucks will equip all its vehicles with Meritor axles as standard equipment, Meritor announced.

Longview, Texas-based Capacity produces terminal tractors under the Trailer Jockey brand.

“Drivetrain components are crucial to effectively and efficiently moving trailers from point A to point B, and we believe our long-term partnership with Meritor will provide what our customers demand,” said Jerry Looney, vice president, sales and marketing, Capacity Trucks. “Our confidence in Meritor axles demonstrates our customer commitment that ‘Better is not enough.’”

Standard drivetrain components now available on Capacity Trucks’ models include Meritor’s front steer, rear single and tandem axles. The MOR series heavy-duty planetary axle is also a standard offering.

“Based on our longstanding business relationship with Capacity Trucks, we have gained the company’s trust to become a standard supplier,” said Ben Reineck, director, specialty and off-highway, Meritor. “We remain focused on customer commitment and will continue to build confidence moving forward.”
