Company founder Alan Spachman, currently president and chairman, will become the company’s chairman and CEO on January 1.
According to NIC, Spachman will focus on an orderly transition of his responsibilities related to the daily operations of the company to Michelson, and the development of other key managers.
National Interstate Corp. is a specialty property and casualty insurance company with a focus on the transportation industry. Founder in 1989, it completed an initial public offering in 2005.
