National Carriers Inc., an irregular route truckload refrigerated carrier serving 48 U.S. states and Canada, has selected a series of business management software systems from Integrated Decision Support Corp., including Expert Fuel, Netwise, Netwise 400 and Match Advice. Expert Fuel minimizes fuel costs by providing an optimal fuel plan at the time of dispatch.

Netwise provides continuous profitability improvement. Specific functions include yield management, shipper bid response, "what-if" analysis, and optimization of the freight mix. Netwise 400 is a AS/400 system that provides the frontline with access to key yield management intelligence.

Match Advice optimizes the assignment of drivers to loads in order to maximize profitability while at the same time satisfying customer service requirements and driver time-at-home commitments.

National Carriers, based in Liberal, Kan., has over 950 tractors and 1175 trailers in four different divisions. These divisions include over the road, livestock, container and regional divisions. National Carriers also operates four terminals in Liberal, Dallas, Jackson, Miss. and Denison, Iowa.
