Two technical symposia on heavy truck safety and handling are being organized by SAE. The first, “Enhancing Heavy Truck Safety, Security and Efficiency Through Technology,” will be held Dec. 1-2, 2004, in Phoenix. An agenda and other details are posted at www.sae.org/events/symposia/heavytruck.

Michelin will sponsor the second meeting, which will address heavy truck handling, dynamics and control. The two-day meeting will be held at Michelin's proving grounds in Greenville, SC, in the first week of May 2005.

SAE is also looking for companies that would like to provide a truck for either demonstration event. If interested, contact Nancy Eiben, SAE International, at [email protected].
