CHICAGO. Rand McNally’s TruckPC and TND 760 Fleet Edition products are now integrated to run with the latest editions of McLeod Software’s LoadMaster Enterprise and Powerbroker
The announcement was made here as part of the McLeod Software User Conference.
The two Rand McNally products provide vehicle position, messaging capabilities, and detailed hours-of-service information for each driver into McLeod’s Enterprise software version 10.3. This information allows LoadMaster to optimize dispatch operations by matching loads with drivers that have available time, Rand McNally said. It also allows scanning of documents from the cab directly into LoadMaster’s image management system.
“Rand McNally has invested significantly to bring state-of-the art mobile communications devices TruckPC and TND 760 Fleet Edition to the transportation industry,” said Jim Rodi, senior vice president, mobile communications, for Rand McNally. “The linking of the hundreds of available data points such as driver Hours of Service that we bring back to the operation through the McLeod interface provide our mutual customers with the information they need to make informed business decisions, assist in regulatory compliance and help control CSA scores.”
