Great Dane makes Microban standard in liners

Great Dane and Microban International announced a new partnership that provides Microban antimicrobial product protection exclusively in Great Dane’s Everest reefers. This breakthrough science will be standard in Great Dane’s PunctureGuard and ThermoGuard reefer liners.

Patented Microban technology is built into the Everest’s liners during the manufacturing process, resulting in antimicrobial protection for the life of the liner, measured using established international laboratory protocols. The protection does not wash off or wear away and helps guard against the growth of bacteria that can cause stains, odors and product degradation.

Benefits of Microban antimicrobial product protection include improved visible and invisible cleanliness, reduced odors, and extended product life for Great Dane customers.

Everest trailers with Microban product protection and other innovations debuted at the recent American Trucking Associations’ Technology and Maintenance Council (TMC) Annual Meeting and Transportation Technology Exhibition in Nashville, Tennessee. At the show, Great Dane also introduced a new smart trailer telematics concept, an improved rear impact guard, and other product enhancements.

Brandie Fuller, vice-president of marketing at Great Dane, said, “The partnership with Microban, in addition to other Great Dane advances, provides our customers with products that will better prepare them to meet the more stringent standards of the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA).”

Great Dane liners featuring Microban protection will be available on new orders for the company’s reefers later in 2017. For more details, go to www.greatdanetrailers.com or www.microban.com.
