Key takeaways

  • FMCSA reinstates DSGELOGS, allowing drivers to use it again for hours-of-service compliance.
  • DSGELOGS was briefly removed for not meeting federal ELD standards.
  • Other ELDs revoked last week remain unapproved.

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) reinstated DSGELOGS on January 15.

FMCSA removed the ELD from its list the previous week due to failure to meet the minimum requirements outlined by the U.S. Code of Federal Regulations, but it was recently reinstated.

It can now be used again to record and transfer hours of service data. Three other ELDs revoked last week have not been reinstated yet.
