Relay Payments adds Platform Science integration to reduce fuel fraud risk in trucking
Key takeaways
- Relay Payments integrates with Platform Science to streamline in-cab fuel payments and reduce fleet transaction friction.
- Platform Science SSO and real-time data sync improve driver onboarding and give fleets unified visibility across operations.
- Relay Pulse helps carriers reduce first-party fuel fraud by verifying transaction data before fuel purchases are approved.
Relay Payments recently launched an integration with Platform Science that connects its digital payments platform to the Platform Science Virtual Vehicle Marketplace and in-cab ecosystem. Relay Payments, which provides digital payment solutions for the trucking and logistics industry, now extends its network through more than 300 TMS, ELD, and third-party system integrations used by fleets.
The integration allows fleets to deploy the Relay app through the Platform Science marketplace and to enable driver login through Platform Science Single Sign-On (SSO), reducing multiple login requirements and simplifying onboarding. It also synchronizes driver and vehicle data in real time, including truck numbers and odometer readings, giving fleets a unified view of operations.
In addition, the integration includes Relay Pulse, a fraud prevention tool designed to help carriers reduce first-party fuel fraud by verifying transaction data before authorizing fuel purchases.
“Fuel is one of our largest expenses, and fraud has always been a concern for our industry,” Harman Cheema, CEO of Cheema Freightlines, stated. “With Relay and Platform Science now integrated, our 400-plus drivers have a much simpler experience, and Relay Pulse gives us confidence that every transaction is verified against real-time data. It’s been a meaningful step forward for both efficiency and security.”
