The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration recently issued recall notices for commercial vehicles, including brands from Ford and Ram Trucks.

Ford F-150 models’ loose fasteners on lower intermediate shaft
Ford Motor Company is recalling certain 2025 F-150 vehicles. The lower intermediate shaft fasteners may be improperly attached to the steering gear, allowing the shaft to come loose or detach. A lower intermediate shaft that detaches can result in a loss of steering control, increasing the risk of a crash.
This recall potentially affects 9,181 vehicles. Dealers will inspect and replace the lower intermediate shaft fasteners as necessary. Owner notification letters were mailed May 26. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 25S46.
Ford F-250, F-350 models’ fuel return line connectors may leak
Ford is recalling certain F-250 and F-350 vehicles. Cracked fuel return line connectors may leak fuel into the engine compartment. A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source, such as hot engine components, can increase the risk of a fire.
This recall potentially affects five vehicles. Dealers will replace the fuel return lines. Owner notification letters were mailed on May 19. Owners may contact Ford Customer Service at 866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 25S44.
Ram 1500 models’ improperly connected airbag
Ram Trucks is recalling certain 2019-2024 Ram 1500 trucks. The driver's side airbag may not be connected properly, which can cause the airbag not to deploy as intended. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 208, "Occupant Crash Protection." A driver's side airbag that does not deploy as intended increases the risk of injury in a crash.
This recall potentially affects 71 vehicles. Dealers secured the connectors for the airbag. All vehicles have been remedied. Owners may contact Ram Trucks customer service at 800-853-1403. The number for this recall is 08C.
Ram 2500, 3500 models’ inaccurate gear selection display
Ram Trucks is recalling certain Ram 2500 and Ram 3500 trucks equipped with a 3.5-inch cluster and column shifter. A software error may cause the gear selection display to be inaccurate. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 101, "Control and Displays." An inaccurate gear selection display may mislead the driver as to what gear is actually selected, leading to unexpected vehicle movement and increasing the risk of a crash.
This recall potentially affects 778 vehicles. Dealers will update the cluster software. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed June 5. Owners may contact Ram Trucks customer service at 800-853-1403. The number for this recall is 36C.
