A buyout deal is joining two of Utility Trailer Manufacturing Co.’s Florida dealerships together under one ownership group, as Florida Utility Trailers, Inc., is buying Miami-based Utility Trailer Sales & Leasing.

With the merger, 33 year-old Florida Utility Trailers now has locations in Orlando, Lakeland, Tampa, and Miami. Long time employee Jack Beville has been appointed general manager for all four locations, the firm noted.

“The acquisition is a part of our dealerships’ expansion plans to provide more available Utility inventory for customers in both the Central and South Florida area,” said Kelly Stephens, president of Florida Utility Trailers. “Peter Verbeeck, president at Utility Trailers Sales & Leasing, and I have known each other for 19 years and have always thought a merger would be beneficial to both of our dealerships.”
