Data-mining software company Vigillo has created a new division within the company designed to meet the increasing demand for custom reporting and data analytics, Vigillo said. Dubbed IQLab, it will have dedicated staffers who can take customer data and perform custom reporting on that data. Customers will be charged an hourly rate for custom work, or a fixed rate for data interpreted through the IQLab Catalog of templates.

According to Steve Bryan, president of Vigillo, data reporting can include the basic, such as which drivers have red flag violations, to the more complex “what if” scenarios and interpretation of data.

“It doesn’t matter what it is and it doesn’t have to be CSA-related,” Bryan said. “It can be about HR or maintenance, fuel taxes or dispatch. It can be a one-time report or a monthly subscription. Bottom line, we got tired of saying ‘No’ to all the requests for custom reporting and now we can just say ‘Yes’.”

Customers can see a live catalog of reporting templates at http://iqlab.vigillo.com/. Each template can be customized to each carrier, or carriers with more complex needs can submit their unique requests for custom data analytics.
