IARW issues Warehouse Administration Manual

The International Association of Refrigerated Warehouses (IARW) has published the IARW Warehouse Administration Manual to serve as a guide to the management and administrative side of the refrigerated warehouse business. It is intended to serve IARW warehouse members around the world.

Chapters in the manual address topics such as:

•Essential public refrigerated warehouse (PRW) documents

•Finance and accounting

•Human resources

•Warehouse law, liability, insurance, and risk management

•Information systems

•Safety management

•Government affairs

This manual was developed and written by John Horvath (Horvath & Weaver PC/IARW Warehouse Law Service Partner), Connie Phipps (Lockton Companies/IARW Insurance Program), Benjamin Milk (IARW), and Stephen Neel (IARW). Additional contributions were from Michael Black (VersaCold USA), Pat Floyd (Seafreeze Cold Storage), Ken Johnson (Merchants Terminal Corporation), and Nick Pedneault (Congébec Logistics Inc).

Each IARW warehouse member facility will receive a free copy of the manual, and additional copies will be available to other IARW members for $210. It will also be online for members of IARW.
