FleetOwner’s audience has a strong appetite for compelling visuals. In 2025, our most-viewed photo galleries featured new big rigs and work trucks, historic classic rigs, in-depth reviews, and a look at two major new infrastructure projects.

Our visual coverage provided a comprehensive view of the industry, highlighting the evolution of modern work trucks such as the 2025 Ram Heavy Duty and the Nissan Frontier Pro-4X. We also paid tribute to the past with the Kenworth W900 Legacy Edition and a century of historic trucks. Readers flocked to galleries chronicling the groundbreaking of Isuzu's new $280 million facility, the opening of Stoughton Trailers' new headquarters, and our review of the purpose-built Chevrolet BrightDrop 400.

Here are the 10 media galleries that captured the FleetOwner readers' attention in 2025.

10. Mack Defense receives order for 103 trucks for the U.S. Army M917A3 HDT program

The U.S. military ordered 103 Mack Defense M917A3 heavy dump trucks for construction and infrastructure upkeep operations at airfields, roadways, landing strips, supply facilities, and motor pools.

“Our military continues to field Mack HDTs into various operations around the world, so these vehicles have been put to the test and continue to meet demanding requirements,” Dave Hartzell, president of Mack Defense, said. “For that reason, the Army, Army Reserve, and Army National Guard continue to invest in these modern HDTs to ensure our soldiers have the right truck with the highest level of capabilities needed to ensure mission success.”

The Army previously ordered 446 HDTs, based on the commercially available Mack Granite model but spec’d with heavier-duty rear axles, all-wheel drive, increased suspension ride height, and other features to meet U.S. military requirements. Check out some close-ups of the equipment in this FleetOwner gallery.

9. A look at the 2025 Ram Heavy Duty and Chassis Cab

While Ram CEO Tim Kuniskis acknowledged a later-than-desired launch, the brand has finally introduced its new 2025 Ram Heavy Duty and Chassis Cab lineup. The lineup features a new powertrain, interior upgrades, new technology features, and a refreshed exterior.

“It's hard to talk about a Ram Heavy Duty truck without bringing in the Cummins turbo diesel engine,” Doug Killian, Stellantis chief vehicle synthesis manager, said during the brand's media event specifically highlighting the heavy-duty lineup.

The new engine delivers 430 hp and 1,075 lb-ft of torque. This increase in power will be noticeable as soon as the truck hits the road, Killian said, with the truck taking more than one full second less to reach 60 mph in an unloaded state. Loaded trucks see a 6-second improvement in 0-to-60 time. Check out more images of the interior and various configurations available from Ram in this FleetOwner gallery.

8. 2025 FleetOwner 500: Private fleets with the most trucks

The 2025 FleetOwner 500: Private list ranks the most prominent private carriers in the U.S. by total registered power units. Released in April, the FO500 experienced numerous ranking shifts following a busy 2024 marked by carrier acquisitions, mergers, consolidations, and expansions.

In addition to ranking the most significant private fleet operations overall, FleetOwner breaks them down by equipment, cargo types, and industry segments. This popular media gallery highlights the private fleets with the most straight trucks. Check out details on the companies and some views of their equipment in this FleetOwner gallery.

7. Trailer manufacturer Stoughton Trailers opens new headquarters

One of the nation’s largest semi-trailer manufacturers has a new corporate headquarters. Stoughton Trailers hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony for a building that will house 200 employees, with an emphasis on employee health.

“We are here for the long haul, no pun intended,” Bob Wahlin, the company’s president and CEO, said during the ceremony. “This is an investment in our people.”

Stoughton Trailers broke ground on the HQ in May 2024. About 15 months later, in August, employees began entering the facility. The building covers 53,000 square feet and uses 300 tons of steel and 1,850 cubic yards of concrete. Check out images of the facility and the grand opening celebration in this FleetOwner gallery.

6. Ford F-250 Super Duty: A work truck that acts like a Tremor

It looks like a work truck. No chrome, no fancy wheels, no leather-wrapped accents. Yet, it’s what’s on the inside that counts for the Ford F-250 Super Duty XL 6.7L Power Stroke Turbo Diesel.

When a Ford team member told FleetOwner about the F-250 XL Power Stroke, he said the truck was as capable as a Super Duty with the brand’s Tremor Off-Road package, designed for the road less traveled. Naturally, FleetOwner’s Jade Brasher wanted to test that theory. Read Jade’s review and check out the images in this FleetOwner gallery.

5. 2025 Nissan Frontier Pro-4X: A midsize standout

What do fleet owners look for in their next light-duty pickup? Practicality? Capability? Fleet owners might cite these, but a good-looking truck creates a positive first impression and helps the company stand out from the competition. Standing out from other work trucks on the road is also a plus.

A “standout” is precisely how FleetOwner's Jade Brasher describes the new 2025 Nissan Frontier. Nissan combined the truck’s eye-catching features—highlighted by the lineup’s new Afterburn Orange color—with increased towing capacity and advanced technology to better meet customer needs. Check out our review and images in this FleetOwner gallery.

4. Chevrolet BrightDrop 400 review: An EV built for delivery

The 2025 Chevrolet BrightDrop, a battery-electric cargo van built for last-mile delivery, was created during the high EV-expectations era at the start of this decade. General Motors debuted BrightDrop at the Consumer Electronics Show in 2021. While the brand shared news of deliveries over the years, like many other commercial EVs, it did not survive the year.

But since FleetOwner was one of the few media teams to get our hands on the vehicle, our review and photo gallery drew significant interest. Check out Jade Brasher’s review and photos here.

3. Isuzu breaks ground on high-tech South Carolina facility

Isuzu hosted a celebratory groundbreaking ceremony, aiming to produce 50,000 trucks per year by 2030. With the South Carolina governor, the global and North American CEOs, and several high-ranking executives and state officials from the U.S. and Japan in attendance, the ceremony marked the start of construction on a new Isuzu Trucks production facility. This $280 million investment will require more than 700 employees upon completion.

While a 1,000,000-sq.-ft. The facility already rests on the 200-plus-acre lot. Isuzu will spend the next 14-18 months modifying the building and several surrounding acres to accommodate production lines for the N-Series Gas, N-Series Electric, and F-Series Diesel trucks, and clearing land for assembled truck storage. Check out the FleetOwner gallery.

2. Kenworth unveils W900 Legacy Edition as iconic truck nears its end

The Kenworth W900 Legacy Edition celebrates the iconic Kenworth model that is ending production in 2026 after more than 280,000 W900s have been sold since 1963.

“Our W900 Legacy Edition is a way to celebrate the history and importance of the truck model with our customers,” Kevin Haygood, Kenworth’s assistant GM for sales and marketing, said. “We will produce 1,000 of these limited-edition trucks, and they’re sure to become a collector’s item. The Cummins X15 engine’ll power them, painted in legacy Cummins beige, an exclusive color for this limited edition. The Legacy Edition is the ninth limited-edition W900 Kenworth. In recognition of that, we are bringing back paint schemes from those past trucks and some other fan favorites.”

The Legacy Edition is available in extended-day cab, 72-inch flat-top, and 86-inch studio-sleeper configurations. Each Kenworth W900 Legacy Edition will be serialized by build date and sequence, with a special limited-edition badge on the glove box. The interior features a black diamond VIT interior with platinum accents. Check out more details and interior and exterior images in this FleetOwner gallery.
