Altec recall: 2024-2025 models face front bumper detachment risk

Altec Industries is recalling certain 2024-2025 Aerial Device and Digger Derrick vehicles. The front winch bumper may be secured with incorrect bolts, which can cause the bumper to detach from the vehicle. A front bumper that detaches can become a road hazard and increase the risk of a crash. In addition, the bolts can fail suddenly during winch operation, increasing the risk of injury.

This recall potentially affects 124 vehicles. Altec will replace the bolts. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed October 10. Owners may contact Altec customer service at 877-462-5832. Altec's number for this recall is CSN-3244.

Heil garbage truck recall: Hydraulic fluid leaks may cause fire

The Heil Co. is recalling certain 2018-2020 front-end loader garbage trucks. Excessive vibrations may cause the front head hydraulic tubes to leak. A hydraulic fluid leak in the presence of an ignition source, such as hot engine or exhaust components, can increase the risk of a fire.

This recall potentially affects 1,360 vehicles. Heil will install stabilizing clamps, new hydraulic tubes, and update the software. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed September 8. Owners may contact Heil's customer service at 866-275-4345.

Ram truck recall: Incorrect brake warning light on 2026 medium-duty models

Chrysler is recalling certain 2026 Ram 3500, 3500 Cab Chassis, 2500, 4500 Cab Chassis, and 5500 Cab Chassis vehicles. The instrument panel may display an incorrect brake system warning light. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 101, "Control and Displays." An incorrect warning light can fail to alert the driver to critical safety information, increasing the risk of a crash.

This recall potentially affects 2,885 vehicles. Dealers will replace the instrument panel cluster. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed September 25. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is 79C.
