You made it.
There were likely times this year when you, your colleagues, or your drivers thought 2025 might never end. But like all cycles in this business, trying times eventually give way to new success. For the trucking, transportation, and freight industries, 2025 was undoubtedly a testing year. But if you’re still here on January 1, 2026, you passed the test.
All of us at FleetOwner have been along for this bumpy ride with you. We hope that throughout the year, our coverage helped you navigate a new regulation, find a solution to an equipment headache, discover a new technology, or simply stay informed. The good news for the fleets and suppliers who weathered 2025 is that you are entering the new year smarter and tougher than you were 365 days ago.
A year ago, many expected the prolonged freight recession to clear and a new administration in Washington to immediately open the floodgates to prosperity. While that profit flood hasn’t reached the industry just yet, those who survived the storms of 2025 are positioned for a stronger 2026. As capacity continues to normalize and the uncertainty of the past year fades, the path forward is becoming clearer.
