Redpoint Systems Inc (RSI) has announced the release of TL/Route, an inventory tracking tool for route sales and service. The software resides on handheld devices and is specifically designed to handle mobile business processes.

The turnkey system eliminates manual data entry for route sales and service. Rather than handwriting information upon delivery of a sale or service, then returning to a host computer to key in the data, TL/Route uploads collected data directly into TrakLand/2000. The wireless support and import/export capabilities of TL/Route make it easy to maintain customer inventory, take and deliver customer orders, generate invoices and receipts, control cash, or perform service and repair work.

TL/Route is Pocket PC- or Windows CEO-based and runs on various hardware platforms. The RSI software system also supports bar-coding and mobile printing.
